Thanks for the support!

On Saturday March 5th the We Love The Junction task  force conducted a press release on the intersection of Alaska Street and California Avenue. The weather was great, people showed up bringing tremendous energy, and we were able to wrap up the session at Husky Deli with some YUM food.

The conference starts out on a beautiful sunny day. Some came specifically for the press release, and many others stopped by to listen, grab a flyer, or buy one of our fun buttons to help spread awareness:

Brad Chrisman and Clay Eals reveal a unique and well-timed gem that was found years ago in Brad’s shed when he bought a new house. The sign they are holding is advertising the builder of our two beloved buildings- W.T. Campbell is responsible for the Campbell and Hamm buildings, where Easy Street Records and Cupcake Royale (and many other great shops) currently reside. What a cool piece of history! And how serendipitous to have it in the possession of the Southwest Seattle Historical Society!

Crystal and Jack Miller place the first display with campaign materials. It’s really happening! You can now find these buttons at the following locations in The Junction.

Husky Deli

Hotwire Online Coffee House

Log House Museum.

We have two sizes of buttons, and they are $1 each. We had to refill the display several times because they were going so fast!

Just a little close-up of the buttons! And a fun picture of one of our new volunteers:
